Cabarrus County Schools
 The Cabarrus County Schools are part of a large
network of schools that pride themselves on
working with parents and the community to
provide a thorough and competitive education in
the public schools. The Cabarrus County schools
serve the areas of Concord, Harrisburg, Mount
Pleasant, and Midland. Kannapolis, also in
Cabarrus County NC, operates its own individual
school system as the city is located in both
Cabarrus County and Rowan County.
The Cabarrus County School System is comprised
of 18 elementary schools, 6 middle schools and 6
traditional high schools. Also within the public
school system is the
Glenn Center, a school for nontraditional
learners grades
6-12 who prefer
smaller classes and a more creative learning
environment. Thematic units are used to help
students place new information into context for
better retention and understanding.
